About the role:

As
Deputy Hotel Director
at our complex in La Romana, you will support the Hotel Director in overseeing the hotel's daily operations and ensuring the highest standards of service, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for coordinating departmental performance, optimizing resources, and implementing action plans aligned with the hotel's objectives.

What will your key responsibilities be?

• Ensure the effective implementation and monitoring of policies, standards, and procedures established by the Hotel Management.
• Oversee the performance of Heads of Department, providing guidance, coordination, and support to guarantee operational excellence across all hotel areas.
• Monitor and evaluate preventive and corrective maintenance plans, ensuring facilities are fully operational and in line with brand standards.
• Support the development and supervision of human resources policies, fostering employee engagement, professional growth, and compliance with labor regulations.
• Act as a point of escalation for guest relations, handling complex situations and ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and teamwork in alignment with the values and service philosophy of Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts.

What are we looking for?

• University degree, preferably in Hotel Management, Tourism, Business Administration or related fields; postgraduate studies in Hotel Management will be an asset.
• 2 years of international hotel management experience, ideally in Caribbean markets, within all-inclusive resorts and tourism groups, including managing teams.
• Knowledge of destination markets and cross-cultural awareness, along with a solid understanding of hotel operations across all areas.
• Languages: fluent in English and Spanish; a third language is a plus.
• IT skills: proficiency in office software and hotel management systems (finance, operations, supply chain).
• Goals orientation, team leadership skills, decision making and customer orientation.

The Abraham Lincoln School is a privately owned co-educational school of 480 students, aged 4-18, and 36 teachers, 25 of whom are British. Applicants should have a minimum of two years teaching experience and should be willing to contribute to the development of our extensive range of extra-curricular activities.

Contracts are initially for two years and are then renewable annually by mutual consent. Responsabilidades

• Registrar facturas y solicitudes de pago conforme a los términos negociados
• Conciliar cuentas por pagar a proveedores, asegurando la exactitud de los saldos y evitando balances atrasados que afecten la relación o imagen crediticia de la empresa.
• Gestionar y dar seguimiento a pagos anticipados, asegurando que cuenten con la documentación y soportes necesarios antes de ser procesados.
• Generar cartas de retención.

Requisitos

• Estudiante de termino o recién graduado de Contabilidad, Finanzas, Administración de Empresas o áreas afines.

• Dominio de Microsoft Office: Word, Excel (intermedia), PowerPoint y Outlook.
• Conocimiento práctico de normativas fiscales, incluyendo el reporte 606, 607 y retenciones. (preferiblemente).
• Experiencia mínima de 1 año en gestión de cuentas por pagar o funciones similares.
• Valorable experiencia con un alto volumen de suplidores y manejo de retenciones fiscales
